Root canal

In our dental practice in Javea, Spain the root canal procedure is carried out with the most modern techniques (machine-based reprocessing and electronic length measurement). It is extremely important to detect and clean all affected root canals, down to the root tip. Our high success rate confirms that we constantly succeed in this. We perform root canal treatments with the help of the very well-known system “R-Smart Plus”.

To prevent bacteria from settling again, the pulp chamber down to the root nerves get filled with a self-setting paste and is then tightly closed.

Getting rid of all bacteria and infections is essential for a root canal treatment to be successful.

If you suffer from toothache do not wait too long before contacting your dentist. An early examination of your tooth raises the chances of a successful caries treatment or of a possible root canal procedure significantly.

CBCT Scan

Dental X-rays can spot trouble early on in your mouth, teeth, gums and jaw. Treating problems before they get serious can save money.

What types of problems do X-rays help detect?

X-rays help your dentist diagnose problems in your teeth and jaws.

In adults, X-rays show:

Decay, especially small areas of decay between teeth.

Decay beneath existing fillings.

Bone loss in the jaw.

Changes in the bone or root canal due to infection.

Condition and position of teeth to help prepare for tooth implants, braces, dentures or other dental procedures.

Abscesses (an infection at the root of a tooth or between the gum and a tooth).

Cysts and some types of tumors.

In children, X-rays determine:

If decay is developing.

If there is enough space in the mouth to fit all incoming teeth.

If wisdom teeth are developing.

If teeth are impacted (unable to emerge through the gums).

CS 8100 3D

At Accu Dental Javea, we strive to provide safe, effective dental care for both children and adults. As part of our commitment to our patients and their health and well-being, we use state-of-the-art X-ray technologies to help protect kids and adults from radiation exposure. Our new CS 8100 3D emits 86 % less radiation than traditional x-rays. Are dental X-rays safe? They certainly are at Accu Dental!

Accu Dental Javea provides digital, panoramic and cephalometric X-rays as well. Our digital X-rays are instantaneous, and our X-ray results can be shared with medical caregivers worldwide.
Comparatively, our panoramic and cephalometric X-rays are used for orthodontic treatments. They provide 2D images of a patient’s mouth and jaw, as well as help us diagnose a patient’s oral health problems and map out a personalized treatment plan. That way, we can best help a patient achieve a healthy, beautiful smile.

Accu Dental Javea only perform dental X-rays when they are absolutely necessary and we protect our patients by having them wear a lead apron to protect their organs against the minimal radiation exposure during the X-ray. We will quickly and safely perform the X-rays, review the results and offer a treatment recommendation based on our findings. If a patient has any concerns or questions before or after an X-ray procedure, just ask our dental staff.
