Whilst most of the time tooth extraction is a relatively straightforward process, some more complex situations require specialist surgical extraction.

Preparing For Surgery

Our experts will ascertain your full dental and medical history, including listing any medication that you’re currently taking. This includes things like prescriptions drugs, over-the-counter pharmaceuticals, and even vitamins and supplements. In order to ascertain how best to remove the affected tooth, an x-ray is taken of your jaw. Depending on the duration of the surgery or if you have any specific medical issues, you may be required to take antibiotics.

The Extraction Process

Once the anesthesia has been administered, the complex procedure begins with our expert dental surgeon and orthodontists making a small incision in your gum in order to gain access to the affected tooth. The tooth is then extracted and your gum stitched up to seal the incision site.
