Specialist Extractions

When there is no longer enough tooth structure to have your tooth rebuilt, or it is cracked, or severely infected, then the only option left is to have it removed. Whilst some teeth, such as incisors, are relatively straightforward to remove, others, like wisdom teeth, are much more complex and require specialist extraction.

At Accu Dental, our expert dental surgeons and orthodontists will remove your teeth comfortably and as painlessly as possible. How long it takes depends on the complexity of the extraction.

What Happens After Extraction?

After your tooth has been removed by our experts, we recommend that you allow 6 to 8 weeks for the bone and gums to fully heal and stabilise. Once this time has passed you can then visit the Accu Dental clinic and discuss tooth replacement options, such as dentures, bridges or dental implants, to prevent your remaining teeth from moving into the gap.

Recovering From Specialist Extraction

It is advisable to rest for the following 24 to 48 hours after you’ve had your tooth removed. Once this time has passed, you should be OK to resume normal daily activities. After 2 to 3 weeks, the socket will have completely healed.

For the best results, follow the advice given by our orthodontists and dental surgeons regarding recovering from a special extraction.
