Tooth Whitening

Tooth Whitening

Tooth whitening is a cosmetic treatment whereby your teeth are bleached in order to make them whiter. Whilst the best way to keep your teeth and gums healthy, and your smile looking bright is by looking after them, some individuals require a little bit of help.

There are several reasons why you might consider tooth whitening. For instance, over time your teeth can lose their natural whiteness or may become staine through years of drinking red wine, coffee, tea, or from smoking.

Is It Right For You?

At Accu Dental, you need to be 18 years or older to receive our tooth whitening treatment. Your gums and teeth must be healthy – our expert orthodontists and dental surgeons will check this during your initial consultation.

Tooth whitening will not work on any dentures, bridges, veneers, or crowns that you may already have on your teeth. If you’re pregnant or breastfeeding, then we don’t recommend you undergo the treatment as it’s not clear if the treatment can affect your baby.

You will need to have a consultation with our experts to determine if you’re eligible for tooth whitening. If you are eligible, our dental surgeons and orthodontists will discuss the tooth whitening options that are available to you.

Alternative Options

If you’re not suitable for tooth whitening treatment, you may want to consider crowns, veneers or composite bonding for your damaged or discoloured teeth.
